Of course these bars have to have a good selection of rums to qualify as a favourite bar!!

Horse-Eye Jacks
Horse Eye Jacks is as original as it's name suggests. This restaurant and bar is nestled amongst several Casuarina Trees right on the beach, near the entrance to Blue Hills. The property consists of a kitchen, designed in the old Caribbean style, with an outside B-B-Q, along with a huge Tiki style bar and two separate palm thatched dining rooms that sit alongside a huge wooden deck. All the buildings overlook  the shallow turquoise blue waters inside the distant waves breaking over the coral reef.
This is the perfect place to chill out and relax whether you are on vacation or just stopping for a quick one on the way home.

Horse Eye Jacks is the perfect location for hosting parties and weddings. Live bands play regularly on the outside deck.

Once a month there is a very popular "Full Moon Party", a highlight of the local social calender.

Cocktails

Watch the water change colour (is it the rum?) as you sip a smooth, mellow rum unlike anything you have tried before. Enjoy it like a fine wine. Scotch drinkers are converted daily. Or just sit back with their infamous rum punch or a pina colada.
Don't leave until you try some rum, the drink of the islands.
This is the perfect "island experience" for visiting tourists. The idilic beachside location, combined with the freshest seafood and of course you cannot forget to indulge in the rum experience. This is a real taste of the Caribbean.
A must visit for all tourists looking to relax and enjoy themselves while visiting the "Islands".

Pelicans.jpg

Da Conch Shack and Rum Bar is the ideal location to just chill, enjoy the views of the distant reef and the passing pelicans, as you sip on a rum punch or a premium rum.
This restaurant is very popular with tourists, as it has a local feel to it and it gives them a real taste of the islands. Most of these tourists come to taste the fresh conch salad, which is made with fresh conch taken right of the sea and cleaned before their eyes. Other conch dishes and seafood dishes are also available.
Combine these dishes with a good glass of your favourite rum and it doesn't get much better than this. Sit and relax on old Autralian Pine logs ,or on one of the wooden benches in the sand, while the kids chase lizards, paddle in the clear water or look for shells on the beach.  Either way this is a must visit location if you wish to relax and wind the long hot afternoon away.
